The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has recently announced the recruitment of eligible candidates in the post of Sub Inspectors and Assistant Sub Inspectors for the Delhi Police, BSF (Border Security Officer), CISF (Central Industrial Security Officer), CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force), ITBP (Indo Tibetan Border Police Force) and SSB (Seema Sashastra Bal) respectively. The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of an All India Competitive Exam scheduled to be held on 22nd June 2014 and 21st September 2014 for all the candidates. The online application forms are available for the candidates to apply from the website ssc.nic.in.

1. For Sub Inspector in Central Armed Police Forces:
  • CRPF: 178 (Males) and 16 (Females)
  • BSF: 733 (Male) and 39 (Females)
  • ITBP: 138 (Males)
  • CISF: 921 (Males) and 102 (Females)
  • SSB: 68 (Males) and 02 (Females)

2. Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF:
  • Assistant Sub Inspector/ Executive: 508 (Males) and 56 (Females)
  • Sub Inspector (Executive): 116 (open candidates) and 15 (Ex Serviceman)

Location of Job: All over India & New Delhi

Pay Scale/ Range of Income:
  • For Sub Inspectors in Delhi Police: Pay Band II: Rs 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs4200
  • For Assistant Sub Inspectors in CISF: Pay Band I: Rs5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs2800

Eligibility Rules:
The applicants should be a graduate in any discipline from any recognized university for this purpose. Those candidates who possess a valid DL (Driving License) will be preferred for this job.
Age Bar:
The maximum and the minimum ages of all the applicants should be as follows: 20 years and 25 years with effect from 1st January 2014. The candidates belonging to the reserved categories (SC/ST/EXS) will be given a relaxation in the upper ages as per the government rules made for this purpose.
Selection Process:
The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performances in the following examinations- Written Examination, PET (Physical Endurance Test), Skill Test and Interview/ Personality Tests respectively held for all the eligible candidates on the dates as specified for this purpose.
Application Formats:
The candidates can download online application formats from the website of ssc i.e. ssc.nic.in and submit the same in online modes before the dates as prescribed for the closing of applications. The candidates are not required to send any offline applications for the exam. The candidates will have to make their online registrations in two parts. The second part of the registration will be made available only after the filling the first part of the form.
Application Fee:
The application fee can be paid in both the online as well as offline modes. The fee for application is Rs100 payable in the form of CRFS (Central Recruitment Fee Stamps) from any Post Offices of India or through State Bank of India Challans or Internet Banking in online modes by all the eligible applicants for the concerned recruitment.

  • Closing Date for Applications (for remote candidates): 18th April 2014
